ByteScrape: Week 1
Each week there will be a little project I post that the following week I will post a solution for. Take this as an opportunity to try but if you do not succeed do not worry!
This week:
Let’s say I want to build a little program that get sales data from another grocery chain (Aldi AU). Well follow the post from this week if you don’t know where to start but I will warn you, you will need to do some google searching for this one: the link you should scrape is here and my hint is to remember to heed the response code!
If you get stuck, try googling (a big part of learning to scrape, and program is learning to find what you need on google) but if you really get stuck, just join the Discord to discuss with fellow scrapers!
Next week:
Hopefully in the future we can do this on discord but for now I have put out a poll form for next weeks project so you all can choose from a couple topics!
Future:
I will also be starting to discern what the difficulty level should be here, but please in the beginning bear with me (if its too simple) or message me for extra help (if its a bit too hard) because I really want to make of this a great experience for everyone! Feel free to write to me on Discord or Reddit!
